Revisional Bariatric Surgery

What is Revisional Bariatric Surgery?

Due to either complications from the original surgery or not achieving the desired result, patients interested in revisional bariatric surgery may be able to switch to a different surgical weight loss tool. These procedures are often referred to as revisions, and include patients who have had a previous weight loss surgery.

What are some examples of Revisional Bariatric Surgeries?

In the instances where you need a revision to a previous bariatric surgery, there are a variety of modifications to choose from, depending on the situation. Meeting one-on-one with one of our providers will help you determine if a revisional surgery is right for you.
Revisions that are offered:

  • Gastric Band to a Gastric Sleeve
  • Gastric Band to a Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
  • Gastric Sleeve to a Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
  • Gastric Sleeve to a SADI-S Surgery
  • Gastric Bypass revision
